3/8 & 1/2" Reduced Shank
Reduced Shank drills are used when the drill machine maximum chuck capacity is less than the cutting diameter of the bit itself. 3/8" reduced shank bits are ideal for cordless or portable 3/8" chucked drill motors while 1/2" reduced shank bits are best suited to maintenance departments, machine shops, body shop & garages for controlled portable drilling or drill press work.
Our 3/8" reduced shank drills are USA made, from High Speed Alloy steel, featuring a 135° split point, with Gold & Black surface treatment & 3 flattened edges on the drill shank.
Our 1/2" reduced shank drills are USA made, from High Speed Alloy steel, featuring a 118° split point, with Silver & Black surface treatment & 3 flattened edges on the drill shank.
